Myrna Dougherty SW Aglow 1st Nations Resource

Myrna Dougherty was born in Los Angeles, CA. Her father is Cherokee and her mother is Scot/Irish.

She was raised in the mountains of Northern California. She and her husband Don have been married for 45 years and live in Spanish Springs, Nevada. They have seven children, 18 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Currently, Myrna attends High Desert Christian Center in Spanish Springs. Prior to their move to Spanish Springs, she was a member of Mountain Chapel in Weaverville, Ca. and attended 2years in the School of Ministry at Mountain Chapel.

Since 1974 Myrna's heart and ministry has been active with Aglow International ministering in the various positions as the Lord led. Prior to her move to Nevada, Myrna served as the "California Native American Area Team President" forming a Prayer Circle around the State for Intercessory Prayer for First Nation People. The teleconference calls she hosts twice a month focus on the Intercessory Prayer covering for First Nations people.

Recently Myrna was promoted to the Executive Team for the Aglow Southwest Region. In addition she serves on the Regional Team as the Southwest Regions First Nation Field/Resource Representative covering the five states of, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.

Her Story as told by others...
Myrna is a modern day Deborah. She is an anointed "love & compassion" intercessor who "Stands in the Gap" declaring the heart of God until that gap closes or the breaches are fully repaired. Her unconditional love sets the captives free! But freedom has another side: Her anointing goes after the religious spirit in any region and at the same times brings down God's healing rain to mankind and for the healing of the land!

Myrna has placed her identity is in her God and not in ministry. She doesn't concern herself with the limelight unless God puts her there. She is "Mom" to a generation of leaders called to make global impact. Her strong prophetic voice is laced with strong discernment and real gift to encourage all she comes in contact with. The atmosphere of a room changes and becomes sweet with the King's presence because of the years she has spent with Him. She is His bride. The result is a strong mandate to people and an apostolic authority as one "sent".

God gave Myrna a heart and a calling to the Native/First Nations culture. In addition to her call to the Native people, Myrna loves "God's wife" (the church) and Israel with a passion. She is seasoned as a worship warrior with "thunder feet of fire" that carry a mandate for "life"... Dry Bones cant help but live around her as she dances with her regalia to bring the wind of refreshment and presence of the Holy Spirit.

Myrna's vision for these First Nation People all across America is:

To build trust and relationships with the Host Nation People.

To see reconciliation and relationships restored between all Tribes and Cultures through the moving of the Love of our Creator, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

To become Tribes walking in Love and forgiveness, rising up as mighty Warriors, serving and honoring one another and standing together.

To put on the full Armor of God, their Regalia, one that Creator designed for battle, coming against the enemy, satan, who has tried from the beginning of time to destroy our Tribes, families, nations and lands.

To Worship their Creator with the instruments that He gave them.

To dance and sing to Him in the language that He gave to them alone.

The Creator has put within Myrna the desire and passion to know Her culture, and to serve Her People with a humbled Heart.

Myrna feels very honored that Creator has chose Her to walk this new Path; one of love and understanding as a peace keeper, that brings healing to her People through the Love of Jesus Christ.
