Sometimes you think you are busy with life and serving the Lord and
His people. We are always encouraged when we get their updates and
"provoked unto good works"! Amen.
![]() Oct. 2009 - a brief summary of a weekly update from Pastor Kenny Yesterday was another unique Sunday and day to our church and ministry. It was a day that saw as begin a Sudanese afternoon service for Sudanese refugees living in Kenya within Kiti where our church is located. we had about fifty of them attend this first service whereby we used English and Sudanese language. We had their bishop come all the way from Juba in South Sudan to see this occasion and the launch of such a service . We shall be having this service each Sunday as from 2p.m. We were able to minister to them and welcome them officially to our church. We don't take this for granted as we know this is the work of the lord through the Holy Spirit. This is also in line with our mission statement which is to make Christ known and gather people from every nation, tribe ,tongue and race to worship Him. Please pray with us about ministry to this special people. We know come Sunday the number will double or even triple as most of them will have a chance to worship God with us. Otherwise we had prayers preceding our main service with this special day set apart for the youths. We had our church youth leader minister in the bible study from the book of 1corithians 6:14-18 and Psalms 1:1-6. Later we had high praise and worship to the most high God led by our church praise and worship team. It was awesome to be in the presence of an awesome God. We touched heaven through worship in spirit and truth. SUDANESE REFUGEE MEETING & FOOD DISTRIBUTION OCT. 2009 ... A NEW CHURCH BEGINS... CONT... We also had testimony from members of the congregation who testified of what the Lord had done. What moved us is the testimony of the woman who helped take one of our Sunday school children who is an orphan and 12 years of age and not 14 as earlier mentioned to some of you. The girl was raped on Friday morning by a man he has been working for throughout this year. The girl is a member of our Sunday school dance team and has been of help to the growth of the team. The woman told of how she went to her house to borrow basin to wash cloths and when she was through with the work came to return them but started crying. Later she narrated the ordeal on how this man whom she trusted as her boss raped her and threatened to kill her if she revealed it to anybody else. The woman who is a widow from our church took the kid secretly to the hospital then to the police who later in the night came and arrested the man. He is now under police custody and will be arraigned in court this week. It is an offence to rape a minor with a 20 years imprisonment. The woman will be shifting from the same place she has been staying for fear of harassment from the family of the man. Pray with us as we do our level best to help her shift from the place to a house next to our church. We also need your prayers as concerns the girl whom we intend to help overcome the trauma of what she went through. We know that the Lord will see us through. The girl has been under the care of police women from the station but we are making arrangements on how to help her out. *Please be praying with us regarding this matter. We also had the Sudanese representative in our service give a moving testimony. Later we had one of the church evangelist who is also a youth minister to us from the book of Daniel 2:24-31 and Matthew 7:21-23 titled "Idol worship". It was a blessing to sit down and see how the Lord is using the people were having been training. It was all a blessing as we came to the close of the service with holy communion service which was serviced by my associate pastor James who also shared several scriptures with us on the same. Glory to the Lord. Saturday was my day off spend out with my family. Friday we had fellowship at the Kaptembwo slums where the lord is doing a new thing each week. ..... and their life goes on... Joy in the midst of trials.
BMI Kenya, AfricaFourth Anniversary of BMI Church. April 2009 We had a unique thanks giving and 4th Anniversary Service on Sunday. We were celebrating our forth year since the lord directed us to begin the ministry. It has been four years of hard work with positive results of souls coming into the kingdom. We have seen the lord make provision even when things looked liked we were at the dead end. It has had it's ups and downs with sometimes paying for our house and church rented place being a huge task. We have seen the lord expand us through it all to over six branches in three years in Kenya with more branches to come in this year. We have also seen the lord use us to affect the lives of the destitute in our society especially the widows, orphans and street children not to forget the slum dwellers who constitute the majority of our members. With our limited resources we have seen the Lord glorified-with this I mean ministering without a public address system and whenever we use one its hired-pray that this year the Lord will provide us with one to make our work more effective. We thus had all the reason to celebrate in the Lords presence for what He has done ,He is doing and will do in the future. We are believing the Lord for major breakthroughs in this year keeping in mind its our year of new beginnings(Isaiah 43:18-19).we believe the Lord for thousands of souls which will be saved ,healed and delivered as we lift his name on high and declare his word. We had one of the longest service ever beginning at 9a.m to 2p.m. The Holy Ghost kept us glued to the sanctuary till the end. We had all our pastors and church leaders from all our branches in attendance with each of them giving a word of encouragement to Gods children. We also had moving testimonies of what the lord has been doing in the lives of his people for the three years. worship was so powerful with a thick co-operate anointing flowing all over the sanctuary. surely the train of his robe filled the temple with his presence all over the place. What else can we say but give the Lord glory. We later had meeting with our pastors in attendance which was the first this year due to the violence that hit our country early this year. We give the Lord glory. you are always in our prayers. We love you so very much. You are blessed of the Lord. Pastor Ken and Mary still going strong
![]() January of 2008 during the upheaval after the Elections Our hearts were wrenched as we prayed through the violence in early 2008 with the people of Kenya. Below was an urgent prayer request sent out by Kenny and others. Our town has been a no go zone since Thursday. we had violence engulf the entire town. we could not venture out. we had houses burnt down and people from different tribes killed. its been terrible. we had over sixty killed by last night. As I write the situation is somehow back to normal in some parts but its tense. everybody is alert. on Friday we had to accommodate a family of five at our place. Saturday we had to more. Sunday we had no church service in church or neither in our slum church. Our people are scattered with fear because we don't know the whereabouts of others. last night I had to seek refuge in some house and leave my family alone coz my community was the target. At midnight my wife called me to let me know that gunfire was just outside our home. She was crying and this made me sorrowful. My wife is from another community .it was long night for both of us.im now on my way back home to collect my wife and daughter. Please pray with us that peace may be restore in Kenya. any support to help us out is welcome. keep us in your prayers. pastor ken still going strong no matter what

We thank the lord for is promise to us for the year 2008.its going
to be a year of new beginnings. We thank Him for protection,
guidance, favor, anointing, provision in 2007.we must acknowledge
Him as Ebenezar for this far He has brought us.
we also thank the lord for our country
Kenya in that despite the election violence peace has been
restored in various parts of our nation. Please keep praying for the
healing of our nation. Many innocent lives have been lost and
thousands displaced .our church has also been greatly affected with
many of our church members in our church in Rhonda slums affected.
One of my blood
brothers has also been affected by the violence and we have
been trying our level best to help them. Its sad that this had to
happen but the lord knows why .
pray for the lords provision of food and clothing to help us reach
those affected by the violence.
otherwise yesterday we had a wonderful service in church .my sermon
was titled " New beginnings" with reading from Isaiah 43:18-19. The
turnout has not been good for the last two weeks but it is
improving. We had time to repent and pray for our
nation. It
was also a time to pray for peace all over the nation.
Please we are appealing for your support to help us to reach our
church members and other people displaced and affected by the
clashes. Most of them have lost their homes and belongings.
Thousands of people are camping in our town and need to be
ministered to spiritually and physically. Over 300000 people have
been displaced all over Kenya. Never take peace in your country for
granted. Hope to hear from you.
keep praying with us.
